I have a trailer breakaway switch on my truck. When pulled it opens a relay which opens the circuit no blown fuses on my truck

And yes it's a nice safety to have but guillotine or butterfly valves are hard to cough up the money for

If a guy put spade connectors into each side of the ECM fuse location and wired them into a cord that ran to the back of truck with a removable plug hooked into the end of cord and secured with a zip tie to prevent accidental activation. Then put an inline fuse somewhere, wouldn't that work without the risk of burning up an ECM and work just like a breakaway switch that opens circuit when the breakaway happens?
JakeBrakeIH has a nice setup on his truck. Just a plug and play setup and completely safe with no chances of the ECM shorting out. He can chime in with some more details.

Most places in the midwest require an air shut off, including PPL this year. An electrical wont pass tech. The associations i pull with wont even allow an electrical air shut off, it has to be mechanical.
