Well I got it on the trailer and noticed a coolant leak on the front drivers side of the motor. It is hard to tell but it sure looks like head gasket.:(

This pretty much it. I am not really up for much more.

:( Ah man that sucks,I know how you feel John

But thats just terrible news!

Well it may not be so bad. It runs to good to be a head gasket IMHO. I think it is leaking where the coolant tube meets up with the front of the head. I reused that gasket and did not spooge it. I will tear into it tomorrow. Good news is if it was I know think it is I should be able to fix it in the truck maybe make a pull this weekend yet.:)

I cannot believe your luck - or lack there of. Unbelievable bud. I sincerely wish you the best as you have put sooooo much effort into that thing and it's been one problem after another ever since. Real sorry about that.

Cost less than a buck!:)

The pipe that goes from the heater core to the thermostat housing has an o-ring to seal it to the T stat housing. The o-ring was blown. Replaced it and no leaks so far!

Tom

Sean and I are taking the truck to Indiana, Pa tomorrow. I thing Geauga is omly Street diesel this year.

I would love to but we are celabrating my son Garrick's 4th birthday at my Mom and Dads at 5. No way I can make it.

We need to meet up sometime soon. It would be pretty cool to see 2 2002 GMCs on the the same track.;)

Yeah congrats John on a good solid run! Definitly looks like more fuel is in order, do you still have the big nozzles in?

I seen Tom Zufal won the class, that old truck is a strong runner, alway a top place contender!

Awesome job John. Glad to see it make a full pass, and an impressive one at that. More fuel should be no problem with those fire hoses you call nozzles.;)

Thanks guys!

Cody yes I need to strap those weights. Big Angry offered me a strap to use but I thought it would be OK. The vids says I should have straped them.
