Pat likes his for logging. But, doesn't use it for tuning since the screen is so small.

I agree.

It's ok for small adjustments, but for all out tuning it is annoying. Overall you can't beat them. Battery life is amazing, it's fast, and overall works great!

Just got my Acer Aspire One in the mail today.
160GB hard drive, 6-cell battery, just got EFI live setup on it also, we'll see how the tuning and scanning aspect goes.

I bought one the otherday and its working good I deleted everything off of it I didnt need and it will only be used for tuning

finally broke down and bought one.
how do you put programs on it? for example, I have quick books, put it from a the install disk onto a portable hard drive and plug in to the usb on the mini laptop.

edit: do i need one of those data transfer cords? to transfer all the stuff off the old laptop?

You can also get a USB DVD/CDROM drive for cheap if you have to read those.

If you have a wireless hub in your home, set your network up for file-sharing and just use the CD drive on a home computer to load software.

Well, after a year:

Be careful handling it, if your finger hit the battery release you will shut it down. For datalogging, set it to ALWAYS ON under power options. Have not tested the video. If you have the ISSPRO external datalogger, you can actually run both the ISSPRO and EFILive Scan at the same time, BUT you must play with it, and always use the same two USB ports or it won't see the EFILive V2.

I'm happy with it.
