Question: Is it suspose to be that small?

I've been buying computers from the dell factory outlet site. They come packaged as new and so far I have seen no evidence of abuse. I just checked the site and they had mini's for as low as $329 (no op sys) and a 1525 for as low as $399.
As long as you know what you want and can wait for it to show-up (available) it's a great way to get a new PC/laptop.

I think Tommy is hoping dad's eyesite isn't as good as it use to be...

I got the same micro lap top ... it's realy light and study ... and no crap of vista, also I put two giga memory in it and now it's running ok ...

I am going to buy an external USB CD/DVD drive which are pretty cheap if I buy one for Tommy.

Here's my thinking:

WinXP preloaded. Vista Sucks for tuning.

3 USB ports.

7 hr life with the optional 6 cell battery. 3 hrs standard battery.

No DVD drive to pop open.

Very sturdy.

SD card readers (two).

Small enough to sit on center console without falling.

Camera built in to take track shots. (Could I datalog + video the run?)

My Sony ($2000) busted the screen Sunday. They wanted $700 to fix it. I could buy two of these for that price, and the HDD is bigger.

I like it it's even small than my HP
