I pre-ordered one thru best buy and guess what..... I was to late. They said they were only recieving like 70 and something and i was like the 83rd preorder for their store. I was like WTF is the preorder worth if i can't get mine on the release date.

they had over 600,000 preorders they sold out everywhere

DANG! That's alot of phones! Haha... I can't even fathom those kinds of numbers. My town is only 4500 people. LoL. I do realize that is world wide but i wonder what places in new york and stuff had for pre orders.

You couldn't zoom on the old iphone? Thats the stupidest thing I've ever heard. My old motorola flipphone could zoom about 5 years ago.
nope lol
But with the 400 upgrade do you keep your old data plan?

yes i think so!
go here
https://buyiphone.apple.com/WebObjects/IPACustomer.woa/wa/IPAToolAction/checkUpgradeEligibility
to check your eligibilty
and here is one thing on the apple site
Can I use my current rate plan with an iPhone?

Yes, if you currently use iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS, you can keep your current rate plan. But if you have an earlier-generation iPhone or other phone, you may be able to keep your current voice plan, but you are also required to have an iPhone data and messaging plan. Get started by checking your eligibility and reviewing the AT&T rate plans.
here is another
#
Can I keep my current AT&T unlimited data plan?

Yes. If you currently have an unlimited data plan for your current iPhone or other AT&T smartphone, you will be able to keep it when you purchase your new iPhone.

400 that is BS. I paid 216.91 for mine but i didn't care about the data plan package. I dont do anything but weather and facebook and occasionally df or dd

how much did you pay? the 400?

$299 and whatever the taxes are. Estimated Tax* $61.17

Order Total $360.17

*In CA, MA and RI sales tax is collected on the unbundled price of the iPhone.

So I guess it could go up.

oh i take it your two years of your phone were up?

if you had a upgrade anytime in 2010 (even in december) you can get one for the 199 or 299 price depending on which one you get
