I did have one ppe die but the replaced it cause there was somthing wrong from the factory...they make a helluva little pump

you can T the line out and T the line in and run a 12 or 15 psi check valve between them so the pump can still cycle fuel at idle and not build pressure...i never found it to be a problem

That pic is Henerys setup, and its a 1-2psi check valve IIRC...

yea i guess fass and airdog marketing really mind:sheephump: people into believing that crap

check valve for what seth? so if the pump dies i can still drive you mean?

Hmm.... People into believing crap? Extra filtration, truck will run if it dies, and it's 10x quieter than a PPE pump.

Seems like a winner to me.

i can drive my truck no prob with the PPE turned off.... and for the money you save with the PPE you can but a remote filter relocation kit and 2 micron filter and still come out way on top..

10x quieter is a little extreme..maybe slightly quieter but after all its still a pump

Out of the 2 PPEs I've had one was completely flow through. The one that I have now is not, past about 2000rpms it starts starving for fuel. First one was good though

Why would you want a check valve with that high of cracking psi when the pumps barely make that? If you didn't find it to be a problem, tell Rob you need a bigger tune;). If I forgot to turn the pump on, it would limp by the 1/8mi. with Rob's race tune.

Both my friends run the PPE pump and neither are complete flow through. both will starve for fuel and that hurts your cp3 then and injectors also.

so forgive me but can someone do some more explaining on how the check valve thing works? im guessing its to let fuel flow when the demand isnt high so the pump isnt fighting to move the fuel nowhere?

check valve just bypasses the pump. When you shut the pump off (a non flow thru) the fuel needs to come from somewhere so it goes thru the check valve. When the pump is on it pulls fuel thru it and pressures it to the cp3 and also against the check valve and closes the check valve.

Only need a check valve if you are running a non flow thru pump and you want to shut it off and still drive.
