This is the second set I know of going into the truck. Last set was 9/23/13 and the shop didn't put new injector lines or lift pump. So my turn. The injectors they put in where part number DT97729095R. Now do I get these rebuilt? Was thinking about having La Crosse Diesel Service http://www.lacrossediesel.com/ do the work. Anyone have any experiences with La Crosse Diesel Service?

Or should a I be look for something entirely different for injectors? what is everyone's experience with the multiple reman injector companies out there?

Definitely putting a lift pump in and new injector lines.

Don't try to save a couple bucks on shady remans. You'll just end up redoing them.

X3 on Brent at Lincoln, I've bought several sets from him for my customers and is the only company I trust. Fast shipping also. You won't regret doing business with them.

Check us out and we will get you taken care of with a quality Bosch injector! Looks like they put a set of D-Tech injectors in your truck based on the part number you gave. Where in Wisconsin are you located?

Smallest SAC nozzles are about 45% over. That's way too big a difference.

Well technically they would work, but not work right. It would probably idle fine, but you would be way over-fueling any time you got on the throttle, and most likely smoke up a storm driving around town. To run correctly, they would need a tune to get the MAF limits and timing adjusted to take advantage of the additional fuel, or even just dial the PW back to keep power stock if that's what you want.

The verdict seems to be split on wether the SAC type injectors will work in a stock truck with stock tuning or not.I know KENNEDY sells them and in his opinion they are OK to run on a stock tune in a stock truck, but tuning is reccomended for best results, and do not run a tuner if you have a stock trans and to go back to stock tuning if you swap em in.

Sofa king are you still on stock exhaust manifolds? If so putting on some profab or PPE manifolds might help to extend injector life as well the stock driver side manifold is poorly designed, replacing those will help the truck with EGTs and make everything much happier in long run!
