So Cal.
when you were cranking it did you time it or just crank it will the computer timed you out. I think the computer time out it 15 sec

The spec is 5ml per inj or 20ml for the bank.

I timed it with a stop watch. I'm not sure those readings will yield a 70hp loss?

I think it's this:

Spec fuel return rate is less than 4 milliliters (ml) per injector, 12 ml per side.

3 ML's per injector or 12 per side is the fail spec for injectors, and I believe the CP3 is 2 ounces for 15 seconds of cranking for it's return isolated from the rest of the system.

Ok you need to retest the system again. The crank time for the test is 15 sec, If you crank the ignition it should automaticly stop cranking after 15 sec (no need to time it). You should not see OVER 5ml per injector or 20 ml for the bank. :thumb:

If you did the test for 10sec and you have a few 5's and a 6's you are going to WAY over spec. (need to repalce injectors)

Any results from cranking the full time? Looks like it might be time to spend some consumer dollars with the beloved Exergy folks in your sig. :( :D

Don't know whether to put a frown or smiley face emoticon so I put both. :)

I will be performing this test tomorrow on a LMM how do you crank the engine over without it starting??? Is there a setting for this in EFI?

I guess pull all the harnesses off of the injectors? Or would that interfere with the return rates??

thanks, lots of good information in that! so let me make sure, if an injector returns more than 18ml over a 30 sec time interval it needs to be replaced? and that 30 second cranking time is actually cranking or running either one??
