I take it then that they 'somehow' know who bought what firearm which is basically registration and the next step prior to confiscation. Had you not had that unfortunate boating accident of course...;)

My guess is that when it comes time for the government to confiscate weapons, they will "find" a weapon on your property that suits them for the arrest. When they hit the first batch of owners and find nothing, they will change tactics. Fast-n-Furious, Waco, and Ruby Ridge indicate that when it comes to arresting people for firearms violations, there are no limits to what the Feds will do.

IIRC, Ruby Ridge was caused when a federal agent talked a man into sawing off the barrel of a shotgun for money.

If you really think about it, how would the feds go about gathering every single gun. Do they think they are going to be able to walk up to my front door and demand that i hand them all my guns? Yeah right. So, just how could they possibly be able to gather up these guns? It would take civil war IMO

It's the "how to cook a frog" routine. You put the frog in the pan with water, then dial up the flame. The frog won't jump out in time.

Lawsuits, media propaganda, and then weapon by weapon, cartridge by cartridge.

Who needs a .50 BMG? Who needs a high cap magazine? Who needs non-frangible bullets? Lead is a poison, who needs it? Who needs to buy more than 25 rounds to hunt? Who needs a pistol? etc.

You've already seen some of these methods in action in various states and cities.

Then, they arrest a few people for violating the restrictions and make it very public. Then they do a Buy Back like Australia. Perhaps they won't finish in our lifetimes, but they will finish in your children's lifetimes.

When you have horrific events like recently MANY citizens ,the majority, that don't own guns never will support these movements 10 fold. Look who is Pres!

All the more reason for everyone to contact their legislators repeatedly. Some scoff at that but they will all tell you that their contact from constituants has alot of bearing on their voting. I heard that also directly from a former Speaker of the House that is a family friend.

It will all begin with ammo, if you don't have ammo a gun is useless...

Yes, this is being used already, and is the easiest method.

They already restricted pistol ammo in many areas. Expect .223 and 7.62x39 to come next, then .308. If they stop sales of those cartridges, it takes a lot of magazine rifles out.

Shotguns and re loaders. Then they take black powder and slugs. Need to buy a bow and arrows for home defense pretty soon!

There are already some laws limiting the sale of black powder.

Will you go to jail for making the most common man-made compound in history? What is it, 1000 years old?

Shhh... Charcoal, Potassium Nitrate, and Sulphur. Write it down and hide it somewhere!
