what is an assault weapon? What about kitchen knives? 2x4's? forks? tire irons? pellet guns? cars or trucks for that matter? they all can be assault weapons depending how you plan to use them. I want a detailed description of what a assault weapon is. NOBODY seems to be able to give explanation of what it is.

To an unassuming and unaware public, yea.

I can understand the call to limit magazine/clip size, but, saying my SKS/AK47/ARvariant can only have three "evil" things, is just amazingly stupid.

Our last gun show here in Colorado probably had over 250 assault rifles for sale

Gun manufactures should be going crazy right now,crazy busy. I don't own a AR but I wish I would have bought one. If one was to come available before the ban is put into place I will get one for sure.

Perhaps over the weekend I'll visit a seller and see if I can get on a list

Correct but I fear that after Christmas and the crooks get back to business in Washington a Whole slew of new gun laws will be forthcoming and one will be the renewal of the ban on assault military style weapons will be rein-acted! There is NO DOUBT in my mind that will be done and then there will be magazine restrictions and then and then and then >>>>>>>>>>>

Eh, I do not see them having the push to do that much, sadly enough, once the news drops the shock and awe over the CT shooting, politicians will lose the steam to fight the NRA etc.

Honestly, I would not have a problem with a "assault" weapon ban like Clinton put it, as stupid as it was, it really doesn't affect me. Granted I live in NJ, so I am ****ed either way. :roflmao:

Please don't get me wrong that incident in my state was horrific as the other incidents that have happened. but banning this style gun or any gun or magazine capacity will not stop this violence nor will it stop idiots from getting guns but what it will do is make it harder for the innocent from enjoying their hobby or what every they choose to do legally being free in this country!

It's unfair but when people ,excuse me,scum use these types of weapons and kill innocent this is the easiest and simplest action they (lawmakers) can do to do something to make it look like they have done something.

They have been doing this for years restricting guns and gun ownership but yet these incidents still happen! Time to do something different.

Anyone read the artical on the guy in china that walked into a school and stabbed 22 kids on the very same day as what happend in CT. Probably not because it does not fallow the political agenda that the news stations here want people to think.
They also stated that in 2010 that there was a string of kids in school being stabbed and there was like 50 kids that were stabbed in one of the cases a guy had walked in with a hatchet and killed some kids. So lets not think that banning guns is going to stop this from happening because the %%cked up people in this word will still be able to get them or they will use somthing else to do it.
