I thought the 3.4 was no gain to be had:confused:

I think making a new plate is way over complicating things...But thats JMO

Large gains in flow over dual WD CP3's maybe not. But for simplicity as a whole, other than the front cover issue, and the lack of parasitic load from a belt driven 2nd CP3, plus less wiring, I think it would be better and an option many people would go for when doing a balls out build.

Who has one of these? I really would like to see a CP3.4 in person just to see how much size difference there actually is.

What I heard about the cp3.4 is its just a hair biggier at the block opening, You could always open that up and make a new adapter plate, then get the gearing down.

How else would you do it Simon if the bolt holes don't line up?

However, does anyone know if there is a difference in the length of the shaft coming out of the pump? Depending on if it was longer, the same, or shorter, you may need the adapter plate to shim it out, or possibly not be able to run a plate at all to get your gear to line up correctly.

Another thing to think about, the extra oil needed for this, would the stock oil pump be able to supply enough flow? Maybe a guy would also need to upgrade to a high flow oil pump or an after market pump-which would suck and defeat the purpose of keeping things cleaner looking and simpler.

Sweet Jesus that's a huge lift pump on the back!!
From the front it doesn't look that huge though-just longer.

No offense to whoever built that cause I really like that engine but for some reason, after looking at those pictures, the location of that alternator pisses me off.

Not sure why.....

our stock stuff doesn't really control the second CP3 on a conventional dual CP3.3 setup either I don't think. There is some type of box that handles that if I'm not mistaking.

Thats were it sits on the LBZ motors...?;)

Maybe it's just the camera angle. It looks like it is sitting on top of the engine in the middle and I know mine doesn't sit there.

There is a secondary controller set-up for the dual CP3.3's. But I though there was an issue controlling a CP3.4... I thought our stock stuff couldn't do it... Does anyone know?

Although most have no idea about the cp3.4, i can tell you that it can be used and controlled in the same manner as the stocker. It works the same way and uses very similar electronics, only a bit bigger, dont let it scare you, II knows what there doing, call them if you have install questions, just make sure you talk to cody. brett or brady.:D
