it would be a trick to get that to work. There is a hole in the block that the cp3 fits through. Plus the gear would have to be larger which would make it not fit through that hole, among several other problems. Maybe if you put the pump in the block (without the gear) before the front cover is on, then put the gear on after, then bolt the front cover on, and bolt the cp3 into place.

how would the different gear fit, if it has a larger gear installed, the cam gear would have to be smaller and then it it would not rotate with the crank gear?

i am curous if that 3.4 cp3 with the stock gear installed and a little clearancing of the intake plenums(i have a tig welder:D)

I really don't see a need in running a big CP3 in the valley... testing has shown 2 modded cp3's one in the valley or in the Dual CP3 kit will running over 1000hp hp... I will guarantee with out some serious remanufacturing of the engine a bigger than stock CP3 is not going to fit.

This is true, but personally, I don't want a giant belt running under my hood with extra pulley's, hoses and wiring running all over. I want a nice clean install that looks stock to the untrained eye, uses the stock wiring, and return lines, and the only addition would be a dual feed line. If the only major mod is a different front cover, I'm all for it.

Plus there are lots of pulling and racing organizations that limit classes to single pump/single charger applications and this would fall under those rules.

Ummm, Dale said something about raising the CP3 higher in the valley. Which means in order to still contact the cam gear, the CP3 would need a larger gear.

I still dont see what raising the CP3 will do? the CP3 itself fits so snug on the the sides of the valve covers... there is some room but I don't see how much bigger you can go while still being able to get the bastard to fit?

Nick once you learn how to get that wicked pump in you will see how easy it is

I have a spare block, I need some junk heads. We are going to play with making sheet metal runners and a bridge just for bling and besomething new, What I heard about the cp3.4 is its just a hair biggier at the block opening, You could always open that up and make a new adapter plate, then get the gearing down.

I thought the 3.4 was no gain to be had:confused:

I think making a new plate is way over complicating things...But thats JMO

What kind of fueling does the banks truck run? Their truck rips right?:D With that much fuel your engine would be really fricken fast with the right combo of parts to consume that insane amount!!! Sounds like you would be filling the combustion chambers with lots of fuel at that point due to the limiting factor of displacement of the cylinders. Just my opinion.:)

you would still be limmited by the injector size but it would open up alot more options ...maybe.... if you could run 100% over injectors and keep them @ 27000 psi for 3000 usec thats alot of fuel , dont know what the limmit of dual cp3's are ?

Doesnt the cp3.4 also have to have oil lines run to it?

Yes, but that's a minor detail-especially if you run an aftermarket turbo or twins as the plumbing would already be there. You would just need to T into it.:D;)
