I just got my truck running an lost/have a stuck injector, injectors I have had ****ed luck with Injectors in the last 4-5 months! I'm so sick of this shit nobody has any ideas why? I've been way easier on the truck only run a 2200 pulse only 170-180mpa, 1 micron filters additives anything an everything I can think of! either Im selling the piece or Im going to try buying new ones I've replaced 5 one of them is at a +13.50 two old ones are -8.90 an -9.81 so all by two were +/- 4 but not sure how a stuck injector or two screws with balance rates on the rest. Sorry had to rant but this my shitty ass luck I'm tired of it so

I am in the same boat. I gave up chasing injectors around the motor and am saving for a set of new ones. I think the new or remans flow so much better than the old ones that the old ones have to run harder to keep up. Thus throwing off balance rates. Mine fills the exhaust with fuel idling. Sucks that the dmax injectors are so expensive. I bought a 24v cummins to drive daily and use the dmax as a toy. Six new 50hp injectors shipped for the cummins was under $220. Thats like half of a new dmax injector.

I might have a new set of rebuilds from Bosch that came out of my buddies 01. You know the story and I think he wants to pull them back out and sell the truck. I'll let you know if its a go.

are the injectors clean when you take them out? Have you sent any of the bad ones to a reputable shop to be analyzed to see why they failed - i.e. dirty, body cracked, etc.?

Seems to they have to be getting compromised somehow. Maybe try replacing fuel lines?

Hate to hear it. I've had some odd things happen with my truck (two tail housings crack on alli, bell housing crack, midplate/rear engine plate crack, etc.) that make me feel like I've got chitty luck too but for some reason, unbeknown to me, it's got factory injectors at 165K miles and balance rates all acceptable. Beats the heck outta me man! They'll all go out now that I've said that though. LOL

II injectors are nothing but greif IMO, try a different set of tips and I bet your problems go away.

They are extrude honed nozzles direct from extrude hone. The injectors are from bosch through II if i understand correctly.

I would just get ahold of exergy and get a set you know was done right. The flow tested 45 overs I just got worked out great and the balance rates are scary perfect. Also you can send your others in and see why they went bad, maybe you have a contamination issue.

One thing I've learned about LB7 injectors is after you torque them a few times (or over tighten once), they're done. where the top fitting connects to body. there's a roll pin to keep from turning. This stretches. When I first had issues (after my buddy gave a little extra turn to get line to stop leaking) I had one leak at this fitting. I removed pin and was able to tighten almost 1/8" past alignment holes. I tried it and no leak. I was going to try to drill a new hole, but I didn't feel comfortable about it.

I am running 80% extrude hone nozzles and II remans. When you first swap them in the balance perfectly. After some road time the rates get further and further off. Thats why it seems like a difference in flow between injectors. Old ones getting tired trying to keep up. Mine is an LLY and I really noticed the rates going out of balance faster after I put on the dual cp3. What is the going rate for a set of new 100% over injectors? I was quoted just shy of 3800 for a flow matched set from II.

My balance rates really seem to go off after the truck is at operating temp. Cold they look better. After so long {100 miles or so} they just stay bad cold or warm.
