The description on YouTube says he was doing a boosted launch. I wonder if it was in 2WD, and thought it was in 4WD, and the rear end just got away from him?

possible but in a 2k hp rig, i dont see him attempting a 2wd launch. i can very well see 4 spinning tires from a launch causing you to go sideways, specially if an axle broke or there was no front locker and one tire was spinning, then caught, breaking the other side loose and upsetting the truck. all speculation though.

****s to see that happened but glad he is ok. He took out a 2016 ford f350 6.7 that was at a dealership. Showing off bites you in the ass.

Yeah, I figured if it was in 2WD it was by accident.

But given how it was going straight then suddenly veers left, I could see a tire grabbing or axle breaking causing that. That's exactly why I don't screw around with my truck in town. Just too many people and things to hit if something goes wrong.

Does suck to see that happen but glad to hear no one got hurt. But yes, dumbass at it finest. We've all been there so I'm not bashing!!

Lord knows I've had my fair share of dumbass moments, but I've been fortunate enough to never wad one up like that. Lapses of judgement are an unfortunate side effect of being a horsepower junkie. At least everyone is ok.

The story I got indicated he was in 4x4 doing a boosted launch and between the cold roads and power it got away from him. Pretty stupid. Couple seconds earlier and he would have taken out that van. Shaun is definitely going to be in deep after this one, good news is no one was injured.
