Only thing that makes me steer away from the flexplate is the fact the speedometer is acting crazy. I would guess an electrical issue that is causing an injector to act up? Definitely check the flexplate though, it cost nothing to rule things out.

Ive seen LBZ's do that in the shop when I've tuned them. weird deal but they do it.

Yes you can wreck a turbo from a blown boot. Not enough resistance to the compressor wheel can over speed it, but that usually results in trashed bearings with oil coming out off all ends of it.

On start-up and shutdown its making a pretty good noise. Before the engine has fired up it sounds like a ring and pinion exploded and still being driven. I hope to find the flex plate damaged in the morning as bad as that sounds!! I want my truck back!!

Of it is buy a billet SoCal one and be done with that aspect and arp bolts for the flex. You don't want to try to torque factory ones. And if it is the flex have fun getting the bolts out. Holy shit they are tight.

I have been running a BD flexplate with this build motor. So far so good. I don't like the idea of a solid flywheel flex plate with a torque converter. They are around $400

Well it was a long day but my truck is back in one piece. Thanks again for all the help and advice. I would of never thought that noise to be a flexplate!!!
