The bend was probably too steep for the screwdriver to actually get into the blades as that would have resulted in immediate, very noticible, catastrophic failure.

wow! thats crazy! i have seen some bad stuff at times, including a roll of shop rags in an oil pan, several rags stuffed into intakes, a few wrenches here and there. but this one is bad!
come to think of it finding all that i have is kinda wierd too, aparently people don't take too much care when working on equipment out in the field haha.

Okay I'll ask... How could you have zero boost, if the screw driver never hit anything you have another reason why it wouldn't. It would have to be a huge leak to get 0 psi, like a torn ic boot. You didn't find anything else on inspection? I agree the horn bend must have saved it from working its way in... I suggest you remove the boot on the turbo/ic and pressure test it from there on.

here is what i think happened, that screwdriver was loitering at the mouth of the turbo all this time, unntil 2 weeks ago it finally gathered enough courage to go into the turbo....dont even ask me how or why the turbo didnt blowup because i have NO FRIGGIN CLUE...prob. because lbz's are just too tough to die.:D

so when the screw driver went in it jammed up the turbo, thus giving me the 0 boost symptoms.after i removed the screwdriver from the turbo it went back to being an lly eatin som' bitch:D

i finally drove it today for a good distance and seems fine:woott:

It's a good idea to keep a few tools in your truck.
