What a drag, I feel your pain.

First thing we did is step back and take a look. No find, swept the area into a pile, got creepers, magnets and halogen lights. Laid on da bellies and searched piece by piece.

Glad you could get your part flown in... nobody seems to have one of these parts. Not even GM.:dontknow:

I'm sure you've already taken the time to go back on your hands and knees to look for it but have you tried a large magnet? I'm assuming that a metal that hard is ferrous and maybe it'll jump out at you.

Been there done that with parts before, I know how you feel losing that one little part you need to finish the job. My last lost part was a metric allen head drive shaft bolt for an 82 mercedes diesel.... as I pulled the car out of the bay to start my next job and wait for mercedes to 2nd day air the bolt because it wasn't in stock it fell off the tailshaft of the transmission, right where i left it. DOH

I have a full set of LLY injectors that have melted plugs on the top of them but I'm sure the rest is fine. Let me know if I can help.:) Just laying around because I don't have an LLY.

Guy, thanks for the 2nd effort.:)

Dan, I called you after i posted. No i have not called them yet, I will. Thank you.

Bluemax, Do you want/need the injectors? Are they junk to you? All i need are the injector guts/shims. I can't afford to purchase all the injectors from you. Last time i tried to secure some from a "burn" the shims were no good? Let me know if yours are still good, they should be as they are very hard ( 60) and I assume not subjected directly to the flame.

Thank again Salad.

Yeah it wont be the heat thats the problem, just the rust.

Yea, that was a bummer.

BTW, thanks for the time and effort that you extended Ben. Much appreciated. I hope they come to good use to you or perhaps another Salad member.:)

No they didn't get that hot they still had fuel in them. Just the plastic on the top is melted and mangled. Like I told maxlly I am using the cp3 off the motor and the guy I got the motor off of is using the turbo. The engine is in good shape and will be in my truck pretty soon. I just don't have any use for LLY stuff. So if you know anyone looking for a spare set of heads...;):D

Or looking for a set of injectors if Max doesn't want these. I thought they were priced pretty fair.:D

My bad, lost track of the thread... My response time was less than adequate. Price was totally fair Bluemax, no question about it, I am sorry for not responding like i said i would. In the process of confirming that the last shim could be replaced without screwing up the needle throw, Chris at Industrial Injection said he would send me some... fer nothin'.

I can always use Duramax cylinder head castings. Let me know what you want for the heads and injectors.

B&B has a set of LB7 castings. Can we trade them for a set of stage II head's? They are coming your way soon anyhow.

If you have never seen a set of Guy's heads, Then you don't know the meaning of "perfection"....Keep up the good work.
