Is this chunk missing out of my turbo shaft normal?

Both ends are balanced. That metal on the hub is put there so it can machined off for balancing the compressor wheel. Compressor wheels are balanced individually so you can swap them.

The turbine shaft is also balanced. Look at the other end.

Oil is normal. Pull off a lower intercooler boot and be prepared for a shock. :D

X2, I had a bunch of oil in my intercooler tubes and turbo after cracking my piston... It shit so much oil it made my truck smoke white for the first day of my new motor running.

his oil i bet is from the pcv not rerouted but yea i had a bunch oil like you chad I am willing to bet no craked pistons in his motor

Even in a healthy stock truck, oil in the intercooler tubes and charger is normal on LLY/LBZ/LMM's.

even if the pcv is rerouted ? I know when its not its gets a bunch of oil mine had a bunch as well untill i rerouted it

No, if you don't have PCV going into the intake, the only oil you'll see is if you have a gauge/oil filter (K&N Style), and it will be very light.

The PCV makes a lot of oil even in a 100% stock truck.
