Take some vice grips and pinch off the boost line going to the waste gate then go for a spin , if it builds more boost then the wastegate is set too loose . How big of a tune are you running ? It takes fuel/ heat to make boost so smaller tunes would produce less boost . Also make sure to check for boost leaks , or exhaust leaks .

juts unplug it and take it up the street . if your boost gos up that tighten down the gate ,if you get the same results than it could be tuning. that is just what i would do

just unhooked the wastegate hose no diffrance looked at all the boots they all looked good i have the egr blocked off and it looks like it is leaking a little bit of coolant were the steel plate slides in should coolant be in that part of the egr

you need to do a pressure test

ok so i have a coolant leak it looks like it is leaking out of the egr cooler were you place the block off plate would this effect my boost pressure

how do i do a pressure test

pull the hoses plug both sides and pressure it up with air to around 50 psi
should be enough to find any leaks.

check for any black soot around the pedistal/up-pipes

You might have cracked the cooler tubes,Have you bypassed the coolant going in/out of the cooler yet?

I can only hold about 25 sometimes 27...

On another note I seem to lose coolant too, noticed jsut twice a puddle under the truck not sure where the rest of my water went?. Never found the leak though, I should check the cooler

Nope its not that, when Im looking at the passanger side of my truck the puddle is directly lined up with my antenna... Maybe a heater hose?

Because the vanes open up on a stock tune.
im at 32-35psi stock tune with my HTT and 21* of timing.

Theres been stock turbo trucks running 35 though...Opening the vanes allows it to push more air right, so I don't think that is it

If you have not bypassed the coolant for the EGR cooler I would do that for sure.

Your running a stock turbo? If so check the coolant lines to and from the turbo they are a common leaking area.

I've never really heard much on bypassing the cooler. Guess it can't hurt anything but what good comes from it? Besides ofcourse if thats what is leaking
