I've never really heard much on bypassing the cooler. Guess it can't hurt anything but what good comes from it? Besides ofcourse if thats what is leaking

Well your not using the cooler anymore..... so whats the point?

To be honest I would pull the whole cooler and just plate it on the side of the EGR motor as its much cleaner and makes it easier to work on stuff

Wish I could, I was gonna when I cleaned my intake but I didn't feel like taking off the fuel lines and all that.
