TX of course
Damn Im getting tired of replacing mine. At most they are lasting 3 years more like 2. Doesn't seem to matter how much I drive my truck. Since it has been sitting for the last 3-4 years and before I was doing 20K a year. It wouldn't be such a big deal other then I have hell finding the right one since my gauge manufacture went under. Just bought 2 that I though fit, but the fittings are different.

I installed my Autometer thermocouple in 2007 and it's still going strong. On the other hand the expandable Edge probe lasted 10k,at least they warranteed it.

Autometer -- 7 years now? I know I put the gauges in before I started pushing the truck in '09.

I've got a quadzilla with an early open style one, and it's been in for about 8 years. It's installed post turbo since it's an open style, and it doesn't see the really high EGT's that pre-turbo does. Looking to put in an autometer pre turbo here soon.

At least 14 years here.

I have a Banks gauge and thermocouple off their turbo kit for a 1987 Ford 6.9L diesel. The kit was purchased in 2002 (or earlier?) and worked fine until I pulled it out of that truck and stuck it in my Duramax. And it is still going strong!

What do I win? :D

What is Failing on them? Breaking wires?

I lost one Banks probe that was about 1 years old, wire broke at the crimp between the braided line and the thermocouple itself. Changed the way I ran the thermocouple wires and where it anchored. Anchored the wires to the engine and ran the extension wires across the top of the engine to make all of that move together. After that, it been in there about 8 years with no issues. Nephew had the same problem, rerouted his similar to mine and its been running strong for 3 years now.
