How far are your torsion bar bolts backed out?

Trying to go from the p.o.s jacked up front end to getting my cvs level again for longevity. Backed out 6 turns and Im not even close yet. How far does everyone who is leveled out have their bolts backed out?

They're back out with just enough tension on the threads to hold them in place. I might as well remove them lol

For dd my opinion is that you need a little preload on the keys, other wise you'll get a little rougher ride because you will be riding on the lca bumpstop, and you run the risk of bursting your bumpstops too. I run mine about 1/8" off the bumpstops for dd.

Technically they aren't bump stops, they are jounce stops. They are designed to be in contact all the time. My truck actually rides a little better this way.

I do need to replace the pads though, they don't last as long putting this much pressure on them.

I'd say no. After I installed the rancho 9000s shocks it was almost to soft. So I had to adjust the shocks and make them stiffer to stop the Front end from bouncing.
