How far are your torsion bar bolts backed out?

so most guys are just running around on the lower bump stops? Has to ride like a tank no?

I have my bolts in about 2 turns with 3" shackles out back. I personally thought it was a little too soft with stock shocks. Kinda bouncy I guess. With my QA1's it feels a lot better.

Bolts completely gone, rancho 9000's it rides smooth on the jounce bumpers.

The rear on the other hand is bottoming out on the bumpstops with 3" shackles and 2" hangers and no overloads. Need smaller bumpstops.

This post had me curious so I got under mine and checked tonight! And the driver side is almost all the way out and the passenger is about 1" to 1-1/2" in. Should I be worried about this throwing anything g off? I think I'm gonna do some 2" shackles and then take the bolts out. What you think?

I've always heard of people not having their bolts even when they are in, seems the only time they are an even amount is when they are both removed.

They are not even because there is more weight on the driver side from fuel tank and other things so they do that from the factory to keep it level

You really like that look ? I can see those bump stops or what ever you call them getting trashed quickly they are nothing but what looks like that insulation foam dried into a triangular shape. If anything I would put those timberline (sp) stops in .

To each their own I don't care for the raked look I come from the lifted truck generation anyway

Yes. My truck rides like shit. It has drop shackles and the bolts backed out the whole way since 2009. I broke a torsion bar bolt and never replaced it. Towing anything remotely heavy is an absolute nightmare. I have the HD jouncers and rancho 9k. It bounces and bottoms out the shocks constantly. It's getting returned to stock height as soon as I find the time, hopefully this weekend.

I've got my torsion bolts out & I've cut my bump stops so it has some travel. With the Rancho 9000s it rides surprisingly well. The rear is on bags so that's fully adjustable.

My truck floats on clouds with torsion bar bolts removed and 2 inch drop shackles. Also running stock shocks up front and in the rear.

Mine rides awesome once I got my rancho shocks up front and dialed in. My rear is bouncey though. I need to cut some of my bump stops off and it should ride smoother.

I just set mine off of a truck I know has never been messed with. it was a 4 door and mines EC. They were set at 1-1/8 driver side 1" pass. That's to the edge of the head of bolt. My cv's are a little negative and truck looks really low, But I have no bumps left. And it floats down the road. Stock shocks kinda hard to hold on the road at times.

I run with no bolts in my torsion keys. Rides nice and smooth. Also have rancho 9000s adjustables all around
