My buddy Tony has 278,000 and fuel lines, wheel bearings, brakes, belt, pit and idler and lots of fuel filters is all he has had to do. Has had a trailer on it almost every day of its life. Its a hotshot truck and he lives in it LOL. (2006 LBZ) Cant say the same about his LMM tho

I bought my LB7 new in '03 with 3 miles on the odometer; I am at 155k now. I started rodding the truck at 100k miles, so some of the work needed reflects that.

Here is what was done under warranty:
18K hydrolock because of injectors-all 8 replaced
a few heater motors were replaced
a couple of ECM updates
That was about it.

Post 100k:
110k added Banks kit
125 k had one bad U-joint, but replaced them all
130k rebuilt transmission
135k replaced CP3, and 8 injectors (this may have been from putting gasoline in the tank ) added EFI live.
135k replaced water pump same time as above
140k replaced turbo...was not REALLY needed but wanted an HTT
150k installed a BD intercooler

things I have never done:
I still have original brakes, I will be doing those at 155k
wheel bearings, ball joints

I have replaced the serpentine belt twice
oil is changed every 3k-5k miles

From my standpoint, the high dollar fixes (trans, CP3, injectors, turbo) have been my fault or choice, one way or the other. This has been a rock solid truck. I have commuted with it, and towed a lot of medium sized loads with a few heavy ones. I just cannot see spending another 50k on a truck and then start dropping $$ into it to get it to run like my old truck.

Does it have the service records? Josh you know enough about these things to know if it's a good truck or not. Just tell your brother in law that he can get a good look at a t-bone by sticking his head up a cow's ass but I would rather just take the butchers word....
PRICLESS!!!!!!:roflmao::rofl::joker:

I think I may have got a monday truck... I've done injectors, T/C actuator, NSBU switch, starter, ball joint, tie rods, rear end, transfer case, u-joints, front diff, 3 wheel bearings and numerous interior lights and the cd player and 2 gauge clusters and im at 101k, I did the trans too but that was my fault haha but then my dads 03 with 100k didn't have ONE single problem!!

My 2002 LB7 - NBSU switch @ 70k, all 8 injectors were done @ 38k miles.. sold it for my 06 with 98k on it

Cracked my extension housing 270* around racing a Cummins leaving Haydays lol.... my fault, and bad u-joints

Idler bearing went and ate up the serpentine belt.

Brakes @ 80k miles.... my rear rotor split in half literally

Batteries were replaced

My 2006 LBZ
- Pitman and idler at 115k, upper Balljoints @115k, front wheel bearings at 98k. Sold it @115 for my CC

All those front end parts are pretty normal, didn't help with the 35's and heavy wheels though.

I did the brakes right before I sold it. (MN winters, salt, etc makes brakes go a lot sooner)

Bunch of interior lights burnt out so I did all leds in the buttons and cluster

Batteries were replaced

My 2007 LBZ - Nothing and just about to turn 40k miles

Dad's 2005 LLY

Wheel bearings at around 90k miles

Brakes @ 90k miles (MN salt, chemicals suck)

H/G by cylinder #7 I believe went @ 105k and he didn't it fixed until 120k. EGR cooler failed like the fords 6.-'s do and I'm sure that was the cause..... hot tune and soot buildup and no PCV reroute, did the waterpump too at that time. That's it for the LLY besides I put my 2007 OEM front and rear shocks on it because they were toast and mine only had 23k on when I took them off

batteries

Dad's 2012 LML - DEF tank was replaced because one of the heaters was faulty.... it still uses a lot of DEF and throws a code. It's got 18k on it right now.

MN winter is hard on trucks.... that's why the 07 is getting parked for the winter. :D

389,000 miles.
Trans lines at 350,000ish
Was in the 87 club briefly.
Front brake rattle a few times.
Cruise has been dead for a couple years
A lot of beer $ spent to have something to drink while washing and waxing it.
