Three things to check:

Injector return lines. (not the one from the pump) Is there fuel flow? Fuel = Good

Pop the glow plugs. With the injector fuse pulled, crank. No Fuel puffs out of the holes? Good. Fuel puffs? Hung injector draining the rail.

With the glow plugs still out. Put the fuse back in. Crank. Puffs out of the GP holes? Good. Injectors are firing. No? Find out why the ECM is not commanding the pulses.

Even if you don't get return from the injectors, popping the glow plugs makes it crank a lot easier to prime the system.

Well, I went to replace bleeder and threads came out with it. so, I guess it's a bad idea to cut down a bolt as a replacement.

now thats what I like about this place. always someone around to back up a man when they are down. that may work as a plan B if plan A goes down the tubes.:thumb:

so I fixed bleeder, also line going to #1 injector was weeping up between line and nut. After line repair, it made an attempt to start twice. now just cranks again.

apparently there's no pulse. spun with finger in front of hole, and dry.

40lbs o.p. Well I checked for signal with a vantage meter and theres only a quick intermitten 15v, which would explain random fire. now I guess its an electrical problem. any hints what to look for?

Since its new do you have good oil pressure?
I may be way off , I am still learning but didn't I read somewhere about low oil pressure no start? Also we have had some antitheft problems with no codes setting also.

they will start with no oil pressure

if its an anti-theft problem it will start for a split second then die. Also, the security light would be on and the tech 2 would say "VTD fuel disable - yes" under the 'engine data 2' screen.
