Keep pumping on the primer with out messing with the bleed screw (if you dont have a lift pump). Pump that sucker 30 to 40 times then crank for 15 sec and repeat 4 to 5 times, that should get it. Remember leave the bleed screw alone.

Keep trying in increments of like 15 seconds cranking, 15 seconds stopped, 15 seconds cranking, 15 seconds stopped. Wait 2 or 3 minutes and do that again. One more time maybe and it should fire.

Have you tried it a while and think that if it would have been ok, it would have fired? Or have you not tried it much.

you need to check the fuel rail pressure while cranking. If there is a leak/air somewhere you can crank it all you want and its still not going to start.

the duramax needs AT LEAST ~1,500psi on the rail to fire.

If you arent building up pressure within 15-20 seconds of cranking it, stop and diagnose it/look for the air leak. Dont just keep cranking and cranking it, all you will accomplish by that is a burned up starter. :)

Gonna hook EFI up tomorrow. My tech guy (AKA Tinman22) is comming up with lap top tomorrow sometime. I broke bleeder screw and made makeshift with 10mm bolt and o-ring. maybe not sealing right. I cranked it alot so far. and found 2 over looked items. pressure line going into pass rail was leaking and return banjo bolt on drivers head was leaking. so there was some pressure.

did you do the injectors yourself? did you verify the shims were in place? i almost bent a rod when i LOST one of mine lol I had one hell of a stroke of luck that night with no bent rods and found the shim and was able to put it back in the injector!

motor would crank and as cylinder filled with fuel was on the verge of hydrolocking.... would not fire due to the lack of pressure with one injector hung open
