Easy guys. Lets not be so childish. Just because it isn't what you, or most of us here, would do, isn't a reason to insult the guy. To answer your question, most tire rubbing problems aren't caused by clearance with the inside edge of the tire on our trucks. They are caused by the outer edge of the tire rubbing the fender at the back of the wheel well opening or the bumper. Using a wheel/tire combo that sticks out further will cause more of a clearance/rubbing problem in most cases.

Well said Josh. I apologize for the immaturity on my part. To each their own.

Don't know shit about "stance", but a 305 is all you're going to clear with a negative offset and you're still gonna have to raise the front if you have not, and trim the valance panel on the bumper. I think a 0 to +12 looks the best on the OBS trucks.

And it's harder on wheel bearings and tie rods.
And car wash visits more often.

For reference, I run a 325/60/18 on a 0 offset 18x9. I'm not cranked fully (fender to hub 24.75"), but did a fair amount of trimming on the bumper and only had to tie back the liner in the rear. You'd most likely be into the metal on the bumper for a Chevy.

Your results may vary.

Anyone else notice that the members who acted like this was Duramax Forum all joined post-2010, and the three from pre-2010 actually gave info to help the kid?
And you guys wonder why I bitch all the time that this forum has gone to shit. Whole lot of you need to grow the hell up.

O/P, Josh and Dale are right. Wider the "stance", the more the tires will rub. Might want to look into putting a 4" lift on the truck...then you can run what you want.

Just remember the more negative the higher the chance of rubbing.

Fwiw I fit a 305/50/20 tire and didn't have to do a single bit of trimming at all but the wheels are around a +20 or +0

I never said anything negative towards him.

That's only half the dimension, what about backspace.?

This can't be accurate, you're running LML wheels with a different lug pattern with adapters/spacers.

b16gsr has some numbers posted for the wheels he has for sale that fit on his lowered truck.

Yeah the wheels are around +20 and with the adaptors it brings it to a +0 roughly. Like i said it doesn't rub at all. As soon as you start going negative your chances or clearance issues greatly increases.
