I'm going to guess maybe you killed the crank position sensor. The won't run if it is bad. When you're cranking does the tach move?

See if you are getting any RPM on the tach while cranking. If your not getting a crank position signal the truck WILL NOT run buddy.

If you arent getting a signal then maybe we can dig up some wiring diagrams for you to check the pins

Why don't you do the VATS relearn for starters? Unless you can manually reset it with EFI or a Tech II. That is where I would start. I'd bet dollars to donuts thats. Unless you grounded out the positive cable or terminal I doubt something fried.

Just figured it out fellas :D #2 wire in the ecm plug had pulled out of the pin and was entwined with the others is why i didnt see it last night so i removed the dsp5 and cut a pin off of it and spliced it with the broken one and plugged it in and she fired right up. Does anybody know the gm part # for the ecm plug pin so i can replace the one on my dsp5?

Good news! I think you may have better luck sourcing a pin from a vendor that sells DSP5, not sure if the dealer has them.

This is a quote from hpi_jeep over at DP, so hope the information is correct and that it helps.
I am aware this isnt related directly to efi live, feel free to move it. however most people searching for this information are doing so because of dsp.
Here are my findings after I spent a good deal with an awesome parts guy.
LB7 ecm pin number (according to parts guy) 12020758 this was found in a red box tray 3 slot 21
LLY ecm pin number (according to google) #15356826 and #15359541. This was found in tray 20 slot 7
LBZ ecm pin number (according to google) #12084913 for 5 or GM part #12084912 for 10. This was found in tray 19 slot 23.

The lb7 pins are longer than lly pins. they are both round pins.
All the LLY pins i have seen have a gold tip on them
the LBZ pins are a triangle shape pin.

I hope this helps anyone who was in the same boat I was.
ecm pin part number, lly pin, lbz pin, lb7 pin, tray numbers.

I would post pictures if i had a good hosting service that will last for several years to come.

The electronics are extremely resilient in these 01-02 trucks, not so sure about the newer ones, but I have done everything I shouldn't do electronically with mine and it has been alright. I have welded to the frame with everything connected several times, I have disconnected and reconnected all computers with the truck on several times, I have crossed wires and flipped connectors on more than 1 occasion during my build. All has been ok in the end.
