Thanks for the advice.. I'll get right on custom tooling an injection molded case.. It's only about 10,000
They're packed well, you just can't keep some idiot from dropping it.
If he wants to file a claim with UPS he can. They're insured.
The reciever has to file a claim. I can't do anything.
The idiots at the shipping places just throw the heavy box's. My brother inlaw works at one of them and they brag about doing it.
However you want to.. It think if it's on the truck already I'd leave it. We'll send you whatever you need though to fix it down the road.

This is incorrect. The shipper has to initiate the claim with UPS, Brayden. Hopefully Dave saved all the packing materials, as I think the local UPS center will want to see the them. Not sure if him installing the turbo will affect anything....it might, though.
Also, instead of a blow molded case, setup...why not look into something like these products to help: http://www.sealedair.com/products/protective/instapak/instapak.html Heavy box like that will be a base in trailers/trucks, etc....keep that in mind. Sorry.

I do have all the packaging but for what it is I'm not sure if it's worth the headache. I learned along time ago not to get rid of packaging until everything is assembled.
Heres a trick...For shippers. Not telling Brayden to do this just came up so I'll share...
Put garbage bag in box with top opened. fill with foaming insulation from home depot about half way up. twist bag up good so it doesnt leak. After foam starts to get hard lower part (that is wrapped in a bag itself) into box and hold it as foam dries....(thats the tricky part). After the foam is holding part by its own weight, fill box with rest of spray foam, not too much as it expands, just enough to fill box (you can also line box with additional bag in the begining to hep contain the foam at final stage). Spray until its topped off. Close lid and tape closed.

Suncoast does that and they where more mad at me for not sending there coffin back to them ,actually charged me for it.

My link is the same thing. But I didnt think about using the cans of foam insulation. :rofl: I always tell my customers to pack their items like they're going to go thru a war. You never know whats going to happen over 1000s of miles of travel thru who-knows-how-many stops.
Shipping to Canada is a PITA, thats for sure....and it always seems that problems happen when dealing with customs.

I tried to straighten it, it's tougher then you think. When I started looking at the BFH I thought it was better to just leave it alone.
Good news is my headers and up pipes came in about an hour ago.Remove the compressor housing and whack off the snout. Weld in a piece of appropriately sized pipe, Done.
