Why is everybody stuck on twins??? I just dont see the point??? And first off there not really twins there compounds people! Get it right! I myself personally would go with a big single but thats me. As for 60 over injectors you'll be fine with them as a DD just need good tuning to make them work.

Why wouldn't he want twins I mean compounds? A big single with huge tires doesn't seem like a very good recipe to me.

Please enlighten us compound people.

twins do it all, a big single seems like it would suck for pulling especially in a dd....twins are the only way to go for an all around everday use....

i agree, but, singles are not near as bad as i once thought. have you ever drove a truck with one? i drove one with a s475 and its really not as bad as made out to be. i wouldnt want to tow with it probably, but there are people that do it. ed wayne runs a gt42 and does it all with it. so i wouldnt say that twins are the only way to go. also singles are a whole lot less headache then twins. not as many places for potential boost leaks, no wastegates(on the bigger chargers) to have to tune in, and not near as expensive. Just my opinion.

What about the fact he is running 37" tires and a 7" lift? If he goes with a large single hope he doesnt plan to tow much.

He said he only plans to tow a boat that weights 5,000 lbs read the orginal post. A single with the right tuning will be fine all the 37's are is rolling resistance which isn't gonna make much difference when unloaded.

So instead of having one tune with the twins that will do everything, he will have to tune for towing, then tune for DD for the 37s? Makes sense.

Only rolling resistance huh? They dont affect the overall gear ratio?

Enlighten me please.

Ok buddy I run 315's same thing as a 35in. tire, 37's are only 2in. bigger there's not much ****ing difference a tire is a tire. Now he may need gears but I don't see anypoint 3.73 are fine in my book. And Since your knocking all the tuning you can use a dsp 5 switch and have DD,towing, racing, smoke, etc and whatever other tunes he may want.

Easy stud, no need to get all huffy just here to learn.

In regards to all that he could just get "compounds" and be happy. :happy2:

Enjoy your big single.:thumb:

No matter what turbo set up he chooses you have to stay in the correct rpm range for the turbo(s). The bigger the tire the lower the rpm range for the same speed provided you don't change the gearing. So with a 5spd Allison and 33" tires you'll run 74mph at 2000rpms. With 35" tires you'll run 78mph at 2000rpm and 37" tires run 83mph at 2000rpms. So for someone to cruise at say 70mph (5mph over the speed limit in many areas) with 37" tires it will drop them below the rpm range most aftermarket turbo's operate best in. That means poor gas milage and throttle response. So to say tire size doesn't matter, especially with regards to turbo's, is BS.

Turbo's are like Blonds , one is fun , but 2 are funner :happy2: ,

In all seriousness , I have done both , ran a single turbo for quite a while and have done the twins , and i will never go back , single turbo's are fine , they make great power and are decent and will get the job done , but they are no where near as fun to drive as a twinned truck ,and the torque the twins make is quite impressive, and EGT's leave alot to be desired IMOP with a single , in a twinned truck truck the Piro is basically a paper weight .
