I ordered gauge pods for my 03 gmc 2500hd with the A pillar that has a speaker hole. I removed the stock A pillar but can't figure out how to get the speaker out. If anyone knows how to remove it, that would be great. Thanks.

There should just be 2 plastic tabs on each side of the back side of the speaker. Should be able to take a really small flat head to pry on the tabs and be able to get it free however it is a very tight fit and going to take some elbow grease to get it to pop free!

I'm pretty sure your aftermarket pillar goes over the top of your factory. Last time I checked they didn't make a full replacement pillar for the speaker for 03-07 classic. They do make one for 07.5+

No, you don't. The speaker hole in the new A pillar is too large to mount the speaker into. The new A pillar will go right over the top of the old A pillar, speaker and all. Leave the speaker right where it is. Ask me how I know. :thumb:

It look like there are 5 tabs on the speaker. The hole in pod pillar has groves that match the stock pillar so the speaker need to come out.

What brand gauge pod is it?

I have an autometer in my built truck and like said above the hole is just bigger than the speaker.

It's a pos glow shift pillar. I got the speaker out once you get one side started the rest comes along just a pain to get started. The wires will run through the stock pillar hole and the speaker lock into the glow shift pillar like it did when it was stock.

I'm installing a low fuel pressure gauge and since I'm a newbe I was wondering if anyone had a picture of how you hook it up at the pump? Thanks

I hooked my gauge up at the filter head with an adapter that threads into the bleed screw port, but it won't do you any good without a lift pump.

I have a sender that will go in the bleed screw but your saying that will not do me any good with out a lift pump? Also do I need a pressure switch because I don't have one with the gauge pod kit.

The fuel system is under a vacuum so without a lift pump there will not be positive pressure. If you do not have a lift pump I do not see the need for the pressure switch.

First you need a lift pump to make positive pressure on the fuel system. The sender will send a signal to the gauge and tell it how to work. The pressure switch if you want to add can be done so as to install a tattletale light of the pressure drops under 5 lbs.

I have the pressure switch so that under 5lbs a red light goes on above 5psi I get a green led on my A Pillar

Sorry for being such a newbe:confused: But Can I just screw the sender into the hole on top of the filter (bleeder screw port) and have gauge work, with everything stock? Do I need a lift pump?

Depending on the threads of each item it will work. If the gauge shows restriction and positive pressure it will read. If it just shows positive pressure it's not going to move.

Yes, I have a adaptor. The gauge goes form 0-30psi so I know it reads positive pressure but how do I know if it reads restriction?
