I've got an o7 duramax and I just put a tranny in at 140000kms and it's chip cold air intake 6"lift with 35s
I'd like to get better fuel millage as I only get 15mpg max I'd like to get more
Plus I have p0299 code all the time
Truck roles coal like no tomorrow
Before with 37s

Are you saying rolling coal as in it smokes alot? If so check your balance rates out and see the condition of your injectors

Yeah it smokes black like at any time I want it to I can black out miles long on the hiway and when I'm climbing hills every buddy behind me can't see I don't know much on diesels as it my first one
And I can tell it has way more power then it's giving me cuz when it's cold boy does it rip but once warm not same power

Pours the black smoke and the p0299 is constant code I've got cold air computers going to get flashed so I can put a new program in a live one

But wat other things should I add to it as it's my every day work truck in the oil field and daily driver everything else is stock on it

Im not completely understanding anything you are typing... So you are happy your truck rolls coal? Cold air computer, you mean a tune made for running in cold weather? Who is doing that tune and has told you these things?

Welcome

No it's got a cold air intake and a programmer that chipped the truck and some one stole it enforce I picked it up from the dealer
Trucks going in to get computer reset I just want better power and run right

I'm taking my truck after to et efi live

I'm trying to find out what things I should get to improve the power not hurt my trans and stop roa long coal it's wasted fuel

Sounds to me like your truck is pretty messed up. You probably need to start fresh with a good ECM tuned for mileage. Checking the injectors is a good idea as well. As was said earlier you are not going to get much mileage with a lift and big tires. Get in touch with the guys at ATP in Boise, they can fix you up. Talk to Dustin, he can sort out your problem pretty quick.

EFI will be your biggest improvement in mileage short of pulling the lift and big tires. Tans wise being and LBZ with the 6 speed alli, 120 hp over stock is "safe". Any tune can kill an alli with big tires and hard driving.

Like subman said give them Idaho boys a call, I hear they have built some pretty decent trucks, I think they have maxed out firmly in the 12's...:roflmao::roflmao:

I can blow smoke when ever for as long as I want.
It normally blows extreme dark black all the way up to a 140mph then cleans up
Buts not so dark now full tank fuel with injection/fuel system cleaner

Have you checked for boost leaks? Boost tube could have a hole, boots could be damaged, this will cause soot and low power as well as shit economy. With that much smoke, and I don't see that the truck is even accelerating... You have a boost leak. Does it have a gauge? Any codes? If you have access to efi live I would load a stock tune and see what happens,

As for the hard shifts, what is happening? What gears, and what kind of driving causes it?

on edit: First video I see the truc is clearly accelerating pretty well, it may just have tune set to kill... I would start with all boost tubes and boots, then load a stock tune or atleast a small tow tune. Check air ilter maybe there is a restriction? EGR still in tact and on? Do you hear the turbo vane check?

Call ATP Rob Coddens will build you the best tune out there.

I don't got any them numbers to call ppl and yes egr still on turbo whistles pretty good and it don't accelerate to hard unless I really stomp on it and it seems to shift harder getting from 1st to 4ths or so and inbetween some times when going to pass

My one boost tube boot is kinda squished I see but other then that it's got a cold air intake and it's got a super chip in it that I can't un install it as some one stole the programmer before I picked truck up at dealer 4 months ago and already replaced tranny 2000kms ago

Sounds like you need to make a run to a dealer and get the stock program reflashed into it first. Set the truck all back to stock and then check the mechanical stuff first. Once the mechanical portions are good to go then get into EFI tuning.
