I assume that was your braking foot that was to the floor and not your acc pedal to the floor? If thats the case that converter does suck. I thought the 1054's were "loose" for the SC series converters? I know i can get about 2300 out of my 5 star.
maybe your hydro boost system is lacking power? power steering pump?

I hear ya, i hated our 54, i know that size turbo dose well on the street with a 55!!!!!:thumb:
