I assume that was your braking foot that was to the floor and not your acc pedal to the floor? If thats the case that converter does suck. I thought the 1054's were "loose" for the SC series converters? I know i can get about 2300 out of my 5 star.

maybe your hydro boost system is lacking power? power steering pump?

Yes, the brake was to the floor. Accel pedal was around 50%. The hydroboost is brand new and I just got done flushing the fluid 5 minutes before that vid. I'm gonna replace the power steering pump soon.
It's also real lazy around town unless the converter is locked.

Maybe my 54 is loose or maybe tuning, not sure but I can stall mine to 2400 before it walks thru the brakes. I have a 472 with race cover and a 1.10 exhaust housing.

When I bought the converter 3 years ago Suncoast had it listed as a 1900 stall. Now it says 2100 on there. I don't know whats up with it. Even with the stock charger and the 4094vvt, 2100rpm was about max and could only get 10-12 psi no matter what I did with the tuning.

Slower.......too big to come up in 6 seconds!

lol. Building boost is fine. SOB lights quick. It just wants to go as soon as it hits 10 psi and 2100 rpm. I can't get that "jump" it needs. It's like the coupling is all wrong. It needs 25-2600 to really shoot out of the hole.

The 1058 works well for me. It or the 1055 would be the better on from Suncoast. They can make the stall different for each numbered converter. You aren't stuck with having to change if there is a particular quality in one converter that you like. The 1058 does have a harsher lockup than a lot of the others. It really depends on throttle position when driving around as to how harsh though.

Went 11.76@115 with a 1.69 60' and I was doing everything in my power to hold it there. I think this converter is about shot. It blew through so bad on the way home I watched RPMs go to 3500 and the truck didnt move. Got the Range Shift Inhibited message when I got home. This thing is really strong on the top end, cant wait to throw some more fuel at it after the trans is done.
I have some vids and I'll post the slips tomorrow. I'm tired and going to hit the couch.
