Thats what i figured that most were using the screw in cups since we all know of the failers of the welded cups. I pulled my driver side cups and resealed them. I think my problem lies in the other bank since they were never resealed.

No. They are 12mm bolts. SoCal has some 14mm that require machining of both heads and block.

I had no pushed cup issues with stock hold downs 100+ psi, for 18k miles. Pull truck has billet hold downs and no issues there. Seems like a hit or miss with people pushing cups
I will update my findings now since I took it apart today. There was no lifted heads. There was plenty of water in number 3&5 cylinders. I had that head pressure tested and it has cracks in both of those intakes. Tomorrow I will have the drivers side and another set of heads pressure tested to see where I am at on things. It really sucks to be having these issues for so long now.

Depends on your luck I guess. My brother ran 80 psi on his 03 with stock head bolts. It never blew a head gasket in 6 months of abuse.

To those who have HG problems, are you setting the studs / torquing them correctly? Finish quality on the head has a lot to do with sealing ability too.
I have A1 studs. I dont make the same kind of boost you guys do as my motor is tuned to preserve the gummy rods. I have about 20k miles on the studs, 180k miles total and still on original gaskets!:thumb:
Why do you say that? I've never done it, just curious as to why it wouldnt work?
I'm not saying it doesn't work for some people. It's a gamble some are willing to take. It's almost as good as reusing headgaskets. It would probably work in a couple trucks, but are you willing to try it unless its the last possible resort?
