Ummm blue crayons work best

Make sure you clean the wax out of the threads good. We haven't had much luck with the wax trick at work. I normally stick to the weld a nut approach.

Haven't touched the head bolts yet but my heads are at the machine shop now. Do these heads need decked with alot of miles usually? Or is it just hit or miss. Another question I had is my truck is an 01 it had crimped not rivited grade c gaskets? Are these factory or has someone been in here before? And one of my injectors got some crap in it when i took the fitting loose, would just spraying carb cleaner in there do the trick or is there a better way to clean it?

On mine we drove out the pin and unscrewed the fitting in the injector to back flush the debris from the fitting. Have heard bad stories about not getting injectors clean enough.

Heads are decked pressure checked good didn't grind the valves so there doing that now. I'll have them back monday

Got one broken bolt out with vise grips the other took welding a nut to it. But heads are on valves are adjusted and I'm in the process of mocking up my pedestal for my s475

what did the heads cost to get pressure checked, decked and valves cut? did you replace the seals and guides as well? pm me details please
