Head Gasket Repair starts this weekend

Nice! did you guys start today?

Yeah we just started today, just the engine mounts, bellhousing bolts, and torque converter bolts are left for the engine to come out, and taking the rest of the front end off. Here is the state of the engine right now

still have the hardest parts left yet :) good start on it thoe :D

Front end is off, now just the engine mounts, bellhousing bolts, and tq bolts, and the engine is out :D Also the ATF we drained is not looking so good :(

ENGINE IS OUT! Found out we have a suncoast converter and not an ATS converter :rofl:

Alright, heres the current state of affairs. We got the heads off but with a lot of work. We broke 4 of the head bolts, which were basically welded in the block because of all the heat. Also, Dimitri said he's never seen head bolts break off in the block, so we dont know how bad the heads are warped, or the situation of the block. We are also determining whether to get just the gaskets done now, or wait, and save up to actually build the motor, because it will take so much work to correct the motor, because it is so trashed. The last pic is of the worst cylinder which is rusted with a lot of piston slap. :(

depend on wht the plans are for the truck ? you def are gonna have some machine work to do it looks like
