if you guys decide to stay stock mabey you could upgrade the rods atleast with my lmm ones for next to nothing

The pistons are fine but we are not sure about the rods, we're gonna do a protrusion test at Socal diesel wednsday to see.

Did the Head bolts break inside the block, or are they sticking out a bit? Either way good luck getting those out.

You will probably need a machine shop to mill out those bolts and re-thread the bolt holes. I'm sure Guy would be able to help you with getting that done!!

They are sticking out a bit, and :rofl: thats my little sister, didnt notice that lol.

Well, the news is not good. It looks like its gonna need a full build, with .20 over pistons, bore it a little bit because of the rust and pitting in the cylinders, get the welded bolts out, and I looked again and none of the pistons come above the deck, also the heads are for sure warped, so at this point, we have decided it would be cheaper to find a good, cheap used LB7 engine, so if anyone finds one for cheap, tell us about it, because we cant really afford a motor build right now :barf::thumbsdown::broke:

How bad are the heads warped, Gm has a big gap they give you more then I thought they would for warp on the block deck and heads.

hey this is dmitri i am really good friends with wade he does not have anything that can really help this situation we really need some 20 over pistons or a good long block with some miles on it if anyone out there knows about either one for sale.

i would say 6 out of 8 pistons are good, but in this case the block has to be bored so that really does not help even if we could round up two more

not sure on how bad the heads are warped we didnt put a straight edge on them yet. We might send the heads to guy to have them looked at and maybe get a set of castings from him depending on the results
