Well, after 1 year and 3 months its finally happening, we are getting the head gaskets changed, and putting in studs. We have Dimitri from Utah coming down to show us how its done :), and damn his truck is fast :D we saw a truck with a PPE sticker on the 55 freeway and decided to race him from the first light, and we smoked him  He is gonna help us yank the motor, take the heads off and inspect all damage, and see if we need any other work. Hopefully it will be done within 2 weeks. Can't wait to start racing again :D I will try to post pics if possible. Can anyone else best 1 year and 3 months on blown hgs?

Pulling the motor is really not bad at all. Much easier then doing the gaskets in the the truck IMHO.

Good luck guys!

Coolant Issue

I have a new problem, today while on a Easter Hell ride, my truck decided to spit some coolant out the overflow tube. Hmmmmmmmmmmm Does this sound as bad as I think. Oil looks clean but Im thinking head gasket?? This has never happened before. Im gonna put a pressure tester on it tomorrow.

Good luck to you guys. Make sure to check that the pistons come above the deck. Your dad has been running it pretty hard. You may consider pulling it out to do those questionable pins in the cam and crank any way. Well worth the piece of mind. Replace the rocker shaft bolts with some grade 8 units as well at a minimum (cheap insurance).

I'll look into that, because we are definetly gonna pull it. Here's a pic of the parts pile
