Looks nice Trent! I am still jealous you got that nice of a truck for the money.
By the time you want to put the twins back on the black truck Nathan will have something bigger and better for you ..... you gotta have twins for towing right:D

X2!! Hoping to actually get past it one day too!:D

Good luck Trent.

Ya i will get this one done and start on the other build right after  plus have to tear the black truck down for parts to put into this one , the trans and a few other parts are going to be swapped so i still have to tear the trans and maybe just the whole motor out of the other truck before i can finish this one ,at least i am fortunate to have good shop with tools , 2 post lift, and a chain hoist on a roller/Ibeam for pulling motors and such it makes it less chore and more enjoyable , i will probably be fed up after they both get finished .

I wasnt so lucky on the passenger side of the motor , the block is toast , 1 piston also . the pics look worse than they are for rust , most of it wipes right off and is surface but this motor is done other than parts . good thing i have another short block , just need to find / fix the head .

From the carnige it looks like a valve hit the piston........... that made the piston scuff the wall , cant say how though , it is a stock truck with nothing more than a tune ran through it  doesnt really matter just get it going and enjoy the truck .

Hey Trent, did you tweek a rod after the 2CP3 addition?

Yep the 11.0 run , it took a few days to show the signs .

Thanks for the link Kevin , I will keep it in mind . I have a few options just weighing them for now and running #'s to make shure i dont go over budget , as of right now I have everything but need some different heads or send these through a cylinder head shop , I still dont know there condition but know for sure one or 2 valves need replacing ( made contact and probgably bent , I assume they need a full valve job with seats and maybe more ? I will have them checked out soon .

You just changed my plans for Boise, I was hoping for more then one good pass. Two good passes would have given the go:rolleyes:. Thanks for the info!

I think your rods could take a bit more than my LB7 rods , plus mine were pretty tired :D they earned there keep this year for shure ! I have no complaints with what it took to hurt that motor .

Did you buy another motor? The 2 others don't have good heads?
