I've been looking for a truck like that - hurt and cheap - and you snuck in and got that one. Looks like a dandy for a handy guy like yourself! Hope it turns out good for you!

You know I only say that, because that's exactly what would happen with me.

I will have the truck in Boise with me , you can check it out :)

Time to build the DD tranny.:happy2:

If i had the $$ It would be done while the motors is out , but dont .

Haha Trent, I predicted twins on Friday over on the place... Just didn't figure you'd be putting them on this fast:D

I wasnt untill i found out the stocker was shot .

the motor is ready to come out , Dimitri was busy today :) . we are putting new gaskets , ARP head studs , My set of LBZ rods i have laying around and what ever else we find bad , already found that the turbo was bad  going to throw my twins on it untill i get the race motor done :coolspot:

Why not throw that motor in the race truck after all that work and put it to use in Boise. Then you can build the other one and swap motors afterwards. In the meantime you can scrounge up another turbo. Makes sense to me. :happy2:

The wife says no LOL honestly i would have to due 2 motors by then , she wont let me touch the black one untill the other one is running . I cant squack because she was kind enough to not hassle me about blowing my motor and getting this truck so I can Roll bar the black one and turn it into a "race only truck"

Plus I have no garentee that that motor would hold the power .

What let loose on the black truck Trent?...if you don't mind me asking.

Nothing let loose , i drove it today , but it is idling rough and a tad bit of white smoke just as a come on throttle so a rod must be short . I dont want to damage that motor , I need it to build off of . The truck might have another pass left in it but It has done enough this year and its time to get this show on the road and build it already .

Thanks for the update. That motor has held up really well, no shame for it all.

Good luck with the new project(s).

Here are some pics , the motor is ready to come out , I should have a bit of time this weekend to pull it apart and survey damage then we can get to re-assembly and stuff it back in . BTW never ever ever weld your front bumper on especially a big brush guard that would have to be pulled off to work on the truck
