Hard 3-4 shift.

I just built a transmission for a buddy and its great other than a pretty violent 3-4 shift under wot. I used raybestos GPZ torq packs in C1 through C4, MikeL/ratiotek shift, trim, and pump springs and a transgo shift kit along with a DPC triple disc. Did a relearn with a snapon solus pro when i built it and these are my clearances.

Any help or criticism would be greatly appreciated

As far as i know. Thats a good thought though. Definitely going to look into that as im not 100% sure who tuned the truck and i thought it shifted odd before i built it.

Yessir.

Thats what another knowledge allison guy told me any options other than pulling the trans and undoing the internal mods?

Don't mistake me for a knowledgeable Allison guy, I only know enough to get into trouble.

I don't think there is any feasible way around it.

Yeah. That would be perfect. Then he could spend a couple grand on billet shafts and servo upgrades to hold the power a allison can hold with just upgraded clutches and a shift kit

Just got off the phone with the owner and turns out the tuning does have the defuel messed with. Has almost no defuel under wot but the shop told him they run this tuning with all there transmissions and its fine so its going to be a tough sell to get him to try different tuning.

well he just guaranteed you or someone else work in the future for the trans :roflmao:

It is a known fact that you will run slower with no defuel and hurt the trans.

Not to go off topic here......but if your not supposed to use the full TG in a 5 speed, what are you supposed to do? I have this same setup in my LB7 (raybestos standard clutches, full TG, ratiotek springs) & it seems to shift ok....not as crisp as my LBZ though....
