Not to belittle the kits, but an Ambulance fabricating shop can't figure this out? I would hate to be a wounded Swedish soldier....

(I checked, the Swedes do have about 500 troops in Afghanistan).

If it were legit, I am thinking the best you could hope for would be to sell the idea/dimensions/plans for a one-time fee. But I am skeptical it is legit.

be careful. Tons of spam out there these days and they are getting very good, some of it isnt even completely obvious scam.

I treat almost everything as scam these days.

When i was looking at a Jetta, It took me about 10 hours of digging and 20 emails back and forth to one guy before I figured out it was a scam. I couldve found it sooner, its the craigslist/ebay car scam. Its fairly famous, google it, its serious stuff that the Feds just seem to be letting go by.

My parents are alittle older and suscpetable to scam too. A month ago a guy called saying he could save our farm thousands on parts, supplys, equipment and chemicals. My dad said show up at my door and show me the numbers and he did. I sat up in the loft of the shop organizing filters while this guy threw his pitch, and to most people it would sound legit, but to me I was skeptical. After digging a lot more into it, I learned it was 100% legit, but you have to pay $3300 up front to get in on the deals. And everybody I talked to said you would never save a penny, and it would just be a hassle.



Bottom line is that scam is out there everywhere, trust nobody. These days, there are tons of people willing to screw others just to make a quick buck.


I would set up a new email adress under gmail or something. And then post all of the info you get about this person in this thread, and many of us will dig into and see what we can find.

I dont know what it is, but anytime something involves a different country and armed forces, it seems to be a scam.

Tread lightly, and if it is legit, maybe raise your price for them or something. I cant believe your time is only worth $5 if you would have to make a lot of them for these guys.

Tell them you will do it, but you want an extra $50 per kit, and that you will have your shipper arrange pickup/delivery. Then tell them you want to send them a cashiers check for the bill (additional $50 per kit bill), they cash it then use those funds to pay you, plus the normal amount for the kit.

No offense taken. I admit freely that they are very simple. You should read some of the comments about it on other forums, chastising me for not giving the dang things away for free. People always want something for nothing....

Info comes back as a Swedish car dealer. Address and Phone, and email match up. Only odd thing is they all come from place in pic (a home).

Might be private company out of home. Id follow up with email and see what happens. Just shoot an email over telling them you receive lots of spam and you will need more company details before you ship a product out of country.

Does it make any sense that the Swedish army would be sourcing ambulances from an upfitter using US made chassis? I mean, wouldn't they be sourcing from Scania, MAN, Volvo or MB? Volvo 303s and MB G-wagons and Unimogs are ubiquitous in the NATO supply chain; seems to make a lot more sense to stick with those.....

That said, I saw a bunch of 6.5 powered ambulance in Oz when I was there in '04, so there is no telling what the government will do...

I just tried some of the ip searches and I tried my own, I use alltels wireless card so it always shows alltels ip location and not my own. Are mobil users suceptible to attacks like wired users? I tryed the stupid little cmd shutdown trick on one of my computers it doesnt work just pulled the senders ip out of the email (my wifes) and tryed to shut her computer down using the cmd prompts. I really don't know shit about hacking so I was just wondering. Mike tell us some trickery I get tons of email scammers and would like to play dirty back a little but im sure some of these scammers could get pretty dirty and I would just be starten a losing war since I dont spend time playin with this stuff.

I would say it's a scam. I doubt someone is looking on e-bay to buy a bunch of parts that will go on government vehicles. Ask him if he would need a mil-spec number for the parts.

I apologize for not replying in a prompt manner. I may be able to help you, but I have some questions first.

1) May I ask what company you represent? Company name/address? The more information you give me, the better.

2) How do you propose to pay for these items? I only use Paypal, and I only ship a kit after payment is received and verified.

3) If I ship something overseas, it would be by UPS, and the buyer would be responsible for all shipping/brokerage fees over and above the price of the kits themselves.

4) If these kits are meant for military vehicles, is there some sort of special military authorization needed before purchasing and installing an aftermarket item like my kit in these vehicles? Keep in mind that application for and approval of any prior authorizations would be the buyer's (your) responsibility, and the buyer (you) would be required to pay for all fees associated with these authorizations.

I'd be leary as hell now, its all plausible but could be a scam just as well, maybe you could call that number or at least run a search for it on the net, to see if thats legit and go from there, but I'm starting to think the risks far outweigh the rewards here big time.
