Man, that sucks. Very odd for it to die under basically no load like that. It had a good run, but that doesn't make it any less painful.

What are your plans?

I really want to build it, but we have been looking at house and weren't really ready to drop a ton of cash in the truck. I have another bottom end with a bad piston, and have a set of LB7 pistons. Might put them together for the time being just to get it running again. Probably start tearing it apart fairly quick so I can look at the heads and make sure no contact was made. Will pull these new injectors back out tonight and get them tested to make sure something didn't hydro lock it or something stupid.

Damn man im sorry to here this. These threads suck big time. The timing of it letting go on jack stands and after a comp check is to freakin ironic. Hopefully you get it back up and running soon. Good luck

That sucks, sounds like either a crank or stuck injector, it wasn't pouring fuel out the back, was it?
It seems that these cranks just randomly break. Good luck with whatever you do with her

Back in the day when lb7's were lunching motors, I remember a handful letting go at idle. Prob good idea to double check the new injectors though.

Never got to see this truck, with the stock motor. Would've liked to. It sucks, but it sounds like you got your monies worth though, Kyle. Looking forward to seeing it out after you get it back together.

I dont know why it is, but they always seem to let go at the times you would think the engine is under the least amount of stress. At idle, pulling away from an intersection at 10% throttle, cruising steadily on the highway, etc...
