For less than 500 bucks you can change to a slotted and dimpled rotor. I run those from Brake Performance . Com. They are excellent, last and are probably the best price. They will hold you back at the starting line without a problem.

What are you able to get the RPM up to? I can hold my truck to 2700 RPM with a much tighter converter than you're running, and I could do that with stock brakes. Like was said earlier, see if you can get an ABS service bleed done on it or just go out and smash the brake pedal. You would be surprised at what a difference that will make.

I have gone out and smashed the pedal quite a few times in the past. I can get it to hold at about 2700rpm but it will start to walk if i try any harder.
