I been reading about this pump ring after market kit fix.. that its a sure thing that if you don't change the oem ring you will sooner or later blow out a hole in the transfer case due to fulid leaking out
Imagine how I felt when I got hit with pump rub in my 2wd work truck most embarrassing thing ever.
01 to 07.5.
i got a hole in my tcase from it. fixed it with silicone a year ago. lolz
Is it possible to put kit in and leave transfer case in place .pull rear shaft and pull tail end of transfer case out then install new kit
I dont think the cross member with the mount on it will allow this, its in the way. Its really not hard to pull the case you'll probably spend an extra hour total pulling it and putting it back in.Is it possible to put kit in and leave transfer case in place .pull rear shaft and pull tail end of transfer case out then install new kit
Didn't think about that, that snap ring is a pain when its on the workbench. That snap ring on top has got to be a pain to undo with the case still in the truck.
