Did mine today - these ratcheting snap ring pliers are the way to go!
.

Good snap ring pliers always make life easier. I got sick of cheap ones and ones that did more than one thing, so I broke down and dropped a lot on Knipex ones specific for each size and direction. Pricey but worth it. Still adding to them, theres 5 sizes with internal and external in both straight and 90* so 20 total.

Not when you have the cab off :D. Ive done a few pump rub kits "while I was in there" doing headgaskets. Sooooo much faster not having to take it out.

It sounds pretty interesting.
Rear driveshaft and speed sensor come out and rear half removed.
Can you leave the front driveshaft, vacuum line and other harness wires attached?
Oh - along with the crossmember and rear mount in place.
Wow, that is the way to go! :thumb:

There is no vacuum line just the vent hose, yes that, the wires and front shaft all stay attached. Transmissions crossmember and mount stay in place. I assume that is the "rear mount" you are referring to?

You're right, it is the vent hose - reached up there yesterday twisting & turning . . . while trying not to bust the plastic fitting.
And, it's the rear Alli mount on the crossmember that I was thinking of.

I guess, if you have to pull the cab, might as well fix the pump rub while you're there.
Oh well, as of yesterday at 4 o'clock . . . mine's done. :woott:
