09’s have stabilatrak and I think an a40 tcm might be more cooperative. Stays locked in with the smaller tunes but any wheel spin in the big tunes it’s unlocking. Tried getting ahold of BT multiple times for a lockbox but they don’t return calls and I need better support then that.

Ben Tyler isn't producing any more lockup boxes so you might want to go elsewhere. He's doing autosync units mainly now and I believe some wiring harness stuff.

My Fleece AlliLocker will set a code on my 08 LMM when I use it, but it doesn't cause any problems that I've noticed other than having to look at a CEL. I have to use it to get reliable lockup and to keep it from unlocking on its own. Nothing I have tried in tuning will lock it and keep it locked reliably, or I wouldn't have resorted to a box.

What ever happened (I guess nothing!) years ago on the EFI Live forum where someone claimed to have found the correct table for slip limit? I PM'd him a while back and got no reply.

Josh, I have the fleece locker too but my cel sets a hard tcm code that my edge cts can’t clear. Tranny usually acts a little crazy after that till I reset with efilive. Have you tried an a40 tcm?

Have you tried turning the code off via tuning? I know it can easily be done in the ECM.

Fwiw, Ben's Autosync will lock the converter and hold every time exactly when it's supposed to in my LMM. It works great, just needs to be adjustable on the users end.

Don’t shoot me, but years ago before the slip tables were added to EFI. I changed the tcm tables I forget which ones, but the gears were 4:10 and the revolutions per miles didn’t match the ecm. Once I had them matched the 1057 would lock every time with 600hp. In my truck with a loose converter it still wouldn’t lock so I used the bt lock up box. Not sure if that’s something that would help.

Getting a healthy 57 to be happy locking isn’t hard they were the first aftermarket converter with the very efficient medium duty pump. Other Companies finally followed that trend within the past few years started utilizing that pump more.

Be interesting to see how many trucks with 340 gears have a lock up problem if any.

Exactly^ mine works the same, every time. Even at 1000+whp. No codes, just lockup when it’s supposed to.

Hope it’s okay to bump an old thread since I was searching and it’s talking about what my question is. If not I’ll make a new post. ANYWAYS

Has anyone tried the “E” converter yet? I’m very new to understanding torque converters and how they work. The “G” and the “R” seem to be most popular. But from what I’m seeing it seems to fall between a “G” and “DK”. Stall falls right in between at 1800-2200. K-Factor is at 98, same as a “DK” and torque ratio of 1.8 so same as a “G”. So from my limited understanding, this means it would be slightly tighter than a “DK” and slightly looser than a “G”? Hopefully mike or Evan can chime in and let me know if I’m way off or what.

Call me in the am (shop phone ) and I'll give you a lesson on converters. I have posted this info a few times here. Takes too long to do it again. No one searches anymore.
