Go through this every trip I don't look up my own parts.
I just pretend I'm working on multiple vehicles, and they all need parts. The odd employee here and there is smart enough to figure out what is really going on, but that's fine, because they are smart enough to be useful at that point.

It is the worst at the dealer, because they want a VIN for everything. I have 3 or 4 GMT-800 VINs saved in my phone depending on what parts I am ordering, lol.

Sadly I do the same thing.
I have my vin, the one for my dads Lmm, 2 LB7 Vins (Federal and cali) and an lly vin.
I had one parts guy tell me that ALL duramaxs used the Federal LB7 bridge. Last time I went to that dealer.
