I tried a quick search but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm just curious what the factory fuel pickup will support? I don't have 1/4 tank issues and the airdog 165 maintained like 3psi of supply pressure at the track. I have been thinking about doing a sump but I'm not sure if I would see any benefits??

I'm doing dual sumps with -12an feeds to the lift pumps. The pump is gravity fed, so I wanted it to have all it could ever ask for. One down fall some will say is that the sump sits under the tank and can be ripped off. If that happened to mine I have worse things to worry abt. They tell you they are not intended for off road in the instructions. .. Just my opinion.
I have no intentions of offroading haha. I'll be running 420s so I'll be stuck before I have a chance to tear the sump off lol
I like my sump. I had 1/4 issues with my factory pickup so it was easier to just toss a sump in. Gravity feed is a bonus. Toss a ball valve in while your there. Makes it much nicer to work on things haha. Years ago a buddy filled the truck with e85 and now looking back a sump/valve would have made that situation much easier aswell.

That was my thinking! So why is everyone running sumps? Should I try to make 4 digit power on a stock pickup to see if it's possible?
This is something I've been thinking about also. Leaving the stock pickup in there and seeing if I have issues at 850-900hp. Trucks lowered so I'm not a fan of the sump sitting under the tank.
So I ended up with a PPE pickup. My lift pump used to make 14psi at idle. Now, without adjustment, it spikes the 15psi gauge and does not draw down below 15psi until you are hard on the throttle. I don't know if it is making more power but it sure as he'll flows more fuel.
I put a fass sump in mine 2 weeks ago as I was having 1/4 tank troubles with my stock pickup and ad150.
Aside from the performance benefits a sump might allow for, and the fact it allows the lift pump to be gravity fed reducing wear and tear on the lift pump...

The stock pick up workers pretty good for emptying the tank. I have put over 25gal. once when I had a hard time finding an open station.
My AD150 starting pulling air threw the stock pickup with 6-7gal still left in the tank.
I have been contemplating getting one, but last winter I had bad gelling issues and I don't want to make it worse by adding a sump.....
That's the best reason for not doing it if you live up north and daily drive in winter. At least that's what I thought.
