further along aaannnd a broken crankshaft on the 4th journal :(

Did you find any metal in the filter or pan?
I have a sneaking suspicion mine is gonna look the same way. No metal shavings anywhere though.....

Did you happen to find a crank yet? I've been looking for one for my 06 topkick. I'm just doing a stock rebuild, so I don't need anything super strong or light weight.

got some parts finally coming in! hamilton pushrods, hamilton valve springs, hamilton 192-200 cam, fingers oval chamber pistons .020 overbore and 15.5:1 compression.:thumb: these pistons are almost too beautiful to be inside a motor!

Gonna run stock can for now maybe change it later on. Compression is 16.5.1. I got a good deal on these so couldn't pass em up.

bringing this back from the dead as i have been trying to acquire parts here and there along with my son being born :woott:i have had to lay low for a bit. as i have had a few questions arise i hope i can get answered in getting this build going again.

1. how important are billet injector hold downs with studs vs stock hold downs with studs?
2. i will be running main studs so how necessary are billet mains or a girdle? i hope for this engine to be at least 900hp
3. should i get titanium retainers or do anything with the rocker shafts while im buying parts?
4. anything you all can think of to help this build be good and solid

I'm not going with any of that withy build and I plan on pushing it to 900+. I went with rods, main studs, pistons, keyed everything. No girdle, no billet hold downs, no rocker arms or push rods.
